Bio

Laurent (b. 1964) lives and creates entirely in the present moment.

Following a dynamic, three-decade career in the fashion and cinematic industries of London and Paris—crafting unique pieces, dressing film sets, and pursuing excellence through constant motion—he chose a different path. Today, based in the absolute quiet of the French countryside in Aveyron, his life is defined by a necessary silence.

For Laurent, the canvas is a daily, disciplined quest for inner peace—a vital tool to channel light and harmony against the darkness of the world. Now at 62, far from the constant noise of big cities, his self-taught geometric practice is fueled by a steady stream of creative energy and curiosity.

By stripping away the unnecessary and focusing purely on the discipline of color, volume, and line, his pristine 2026 compositions do not look back at yesterday or worry about tomorrow. They exist completely in the now.

Artist Statement: Selected Works 2026

"My work is an exploration of geometric abstraction, created to serve as a quiet space between the physical world and a meditative inner state.

Using the clean logic of hard-edge lines, balanced volumes, and axonometry, I build structures designed to feel both physically solid and spiritually weightless. By removing the traditional vanishing point, I invite the viewer to enter the canvas from any angle, generating space rather than simply representing it.

Ultimately, these 2026 paintings carry a simple message of harmony. Through the precision of geometry and the deliberate application of color, I seek to offer a silent, structured environment where one can step away from the constant noise, reconnect with the self, and look toward new meanings."
